Rome Guide
V1. Living as a Local!

After visiting Rome more times than I can count and now living in Italy for the past six months, I figured it was finally time for an updated Rome guide.
This list includes 50+ spots across the city - from morning espresso bars and quick lunch stops to classic trattorias, wine bars, bakeries, shops, and a few places that simply make me happy.
Of course, no Rome guide could ever be complete. There are countless places I still want to try and plenty of favorites that didn’t make this version, but I wanted to create a starter guide that covers all the bases for anyone planning their first trip to the Eternal City.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect cacio e pepe, a quick slice of pizza between sightseeing, a beautiful café to linger in, you’ll find it here.
If you are coming in the summer months especially, just know that you must make reservations and that line can be longer than usual for some of the quicker spots. My advice? Get there right when they open or later in the day at an off time. Also, make sure that you look up the specific place online before you go because as some close for lunch (especially clothing stores), etc.
I hope this guide helps you fall in love with Rome the way I have. And as always, if you have any questions while planning your trip, feel free to message me. I love helping people navigate Italy, and I’d love to hear if you end up visiting any of these spots!
Here you go!
